New PSP Official Visits Skippack BOS Meeting

Skippack Barracks commanding officer urges residents to report issues immediately to State Police.

Lt. James H. Fisher, the new commanding officer at the Pennsylvania State Police Skippack Barracks, introduced himself to residents at the Skippack Township Board of Supervisors Meeting earlier this month.

Saying he hoped to "put a face with a name," Fisher stayed through the end of the meeting and spoke with residents.

In addressing the crowd, Fisher spoke to the importance of calling police immediately when something suspicious is observed.

"If you have an issues, any suspicious activity, please call the barracks," Fisher said. "[The township gets] a lot of phone calls after the fact, but it is very important that you call right away so we can dispatch a car right away to address those issues."

The phone number for the PSP: Skippack is 610-584-1250.
