Due to forecasted inclement weather, Perkiomen Valley School District buildings will close today (2/8) by 6 p.m. All evening activities will be canceled or postponed. Please continue to watch the website for updates regarding weekend activities.

IMPORTANT ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT NEWS ~ BOYS BASKETBALL: The boys' basketball game scheduled for Friday evening has been POSTPONED to Saturday, February 9 at 2:00 p.m. ~ GIRLS BASKETBALL: The girls' basketball game scheduled for Saturday at 6:00 p.m. is still ON as scheduled. Both games are at Springford High School. ~ WRESTLING: The PJP Wrestling match scheduled for tonight (Pottsgrove @ PJP) has been postponed TBD.
The ACT Testing scheduled at Pope John Paul II High School on February 9th is CANCELLED due to inclement weather. Please check the ACT website for further information with regard to the rescheduled test date. Thank you.
Awinter Storm will be hitting the area over the next 24 hours, and is expected to bring four to eight inches of snow with it.
The national Weather Service in Mount Holly, N.J., has issues a Winter Storm Warning in effect from 3 p.m. today through 6 a.m. Saturday.
Heavy snow - one to two inches per-hour accumulations - are expected Friday afternoon and evening, and there is a slight chance of a thunderstorm during the snow.
A blizzard warning is in effect for New York, Connecticut, Northern New Jersey and surrounding areas. According to the NWS alert, our region will be on the edge of the heavy snow, and amounts may vary from what is expected.
Closures are starting to be announced in the area. The Girl Scout Cadette Troop 782 meeting in Collegeville is canceled for tonight, as is the Bingo at Encore Experiences at Harleysville (Harleysville Senior Center) tomorrow.
