Lower Salford Fire Requires Aid from Lower Frederick, Skippack, Perkiomen Fire Companies

Local fire crews assist on Monday afternoon fire.

Several area crews were called into a fire on Monday afternoon that started in a first-floor wall of a Lower Salford home.

Harleysville Fire Chief Todd Burns told Montgomery Media that the fire was inside a first-story wall and inside the floor between the basement and first floor. Companies that assisted included Harleysville, Skippack, Towamencin, Upper Salford, Souderton, Perkiomen and Lower Frederick companies. Medical units from Harleysville Area EMS and Skippack EMS also reported to the scene.

No injuries were reported, and the cause is still under investigation.
