Local Fire Companies Hosting Events This Weekend
Collegeville Fire Co. is offering a chicken barbecue Saturday; Perkiomen Fire Co. will host Basket and Bag Bingo Sunday.
Two local fire companies are holding fundraising events this weekend for residents of the Perkiomen Valley.
Collegeville Fire Co. Chicken Barbecue
Beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday, the Collegeville Fire Co. will hold its annual Chicken Barbecue at its location at 29 E 5th Avenue.

The dinner will include half of a chicken, potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans and a dessert, as well as a recent addition of corn from a local farm. The cost for the dinner is $9.75, dine out or take in.
Perkiomen Township Fire Co. Basket and Bag Bingo

On Sunday beginning at 1 p.m., the Perkiomen Township Fire Co. will host Basket and Bag Bingo at 1 p.m. with doors opening at noon.
Tickets are $20 per person in advance and $25 at the door; all tickets purchased prior to the event will be entered for a drawing to win a basket.
Food and drinks will be available at the event; no one under the age of 18 is permitted.
