Hit and Run, DUI Crashes in Upper Salford

A 29-year-old was arrested for DUI on Spring Mount Road; a hit-and-run occurred on Barndt Road


Nov. 10 DUI Crash
Just after midnight on Nov. 10, Paul Lee Jameson was arrested after crashing his vehicle at the intersection of Spring Mount and Schwenksville Roads while allegedly under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, according to police.

Jameson was traveling east on Spring Mount Road approaching Schwenksville Road when he ran a stop sign and crashed into several small bushes, landing with a portion of the vehicle off the roadway, the Pennsylvania State Police reported.

When police arrived at the scene, Jameson allegedly exhibited signs of being under the influence of alcohol and failed field sobriety tests.

Charges will be filed in District Court 38-2-02 for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or a Controlled Substance, according to State Police.

Nov. 8 Hit and Run
Police are searching for an unknown driver who allegedly crashed a vehicle into a Barndt Road lawn just after midnight on Nov. 8 and fled the scene, leaving the vehicle.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, a driver was traveling north in a 2006 Nissan Sentra on Barndt Road, just south of Ridge Road, when the vehicle spun out of control after failing to make a turn and landed into a grass lawn near the roadway.

The driver fled the scene after the vehicle became stuck in the mud, according to police.

The vehicle was towed by William Penn Towing in Green Lane.

Police are asking that anyone with information on this case to contact PSP at 610-584-1250 and reference incident number K03-1885598.
