Friends Remember Ofc. Brad Fox in Tribute Video

Coworkers, fellow marines and friends tell stories of the fallen officer, while sharing their photos and videos.

Fellow hockey players, marines, police officers, and close friends offered their reflections on fallen Plymouth Township Police Officer Bradley Fox, who lived in Gilbertsville, in a 15-minute tribute video produced by Bob Kircher of Unisys.

"He's probably one of the most genuine guys I've ever met in my entire life," said Fox's former hockey teammate and Plymouth Police Ptl. Gerry DeSantis.

Many of the men, holding back tears, told personal stories of Fox, a lighthearted prankster who always had a smile on his face, who worked hard and played hard.

"It was a battle of wits with Brad, and anybody he went against showed up unarmed," said Mike Slattery.

Pranks aside, Fox gained the respect of his peers as a Plymouth Township police officer.

"In police work, you get some guys who, as they say, are heavy with the badge. But Brad would always take the time and ensure what he was doing was the right thing," said Plymouth Police Officer Eric Ponzek. "I always respected that about him."

Friends also spoke of his close relationship with his K-9, Nick.

"There is a lot of love that goes into becoming a K-9 officer," said Ponzek. "You could tell that Brad was very close to Nick."

A fellow Marine said that Fox made his time deployed more bearable for the members of his unit.

"He was an outstanding Marine," said Jim Griffin, who was deployed to Iraq with Fox.  "One of the best Marines I've ever worked with."

Fox played hockey for the Slugs in West Chester and the Blueliners in Montgomery County, who recently held the First Annual Brad Fox Memorial Game.

Many of his teammates celebrated his talent on the ice, as well as his impact on the teams.

"Do you watch the Flyers? That's the kind of hockey player Brad was," said DeSantis. "He's always going to be on the bench with us, one way or another."

Friends also said that he and wife Lynsay, who is expecting the couple's second child, were a perfect match for each other.

"They were made for each other," said Griffin. "She wouldn't take his nonsense - never would- they had a funny dynamic relationship, and they were truly in love."
