First Niagara Bank Robbed In Collegeville

Suspect considered armed and dangerous

The Collegeville Police Department and the Philadelphia Division of the FBI are seeking public assistance to identify and locate the suspect responsible for the late-morning robbery of the First Niagra Bank in Collegeville.

According to a press release from the FBI, the male suspect entered the bank at approximately 11:35 a.m. on Monday morning, and presented a bank teller with a threatening note demanding money and indicating that he had a gun. The suspect then received an undisclosed amount of money, before fleeing on foot. He was last seen heading east on Main Street.

The suspect is described as being a white male in his late 20's with a height of 5'6. He was wearing glasses, a Philadelphia Flyers baseball cap, a green shirt and capri-style jeans at the time of the robbery.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information regarding the robbery is urged to contact the Collegeville Police Department or the FBI at 215-418-4000. Tipsters may remain anonymous, and there may be a reward for information leading to the capture of the suspect.

The description of the suspect has been updated to reflect that fact that he is a white male, as seen in the security footage.

Okay, now that we have all the racist comments out of our collective system, let's hope he didn't have a gun. If he is armed, let's hope he is captured soon. Perhaps our efforts should be to circulate this information that leads to somebody knowing something that can lead to his capture.

"Weather" or not? Spell check wouldn't have helped with that. But it would have with your own spelling errors.

Nicely said M*rk! Spelling errors and jokes of capri pants are a little counter productive. Some ppl ( which is short for people ) might want to use this website as a means of community contact and support; not over inflated comments. Hopefully this man is caught before his crimes escalate.

"...The suspect is described as being a white male in his late 20's with a height of 5'6. He was wearing glasses, a Philadelphia Flyers baseball cap, a green shirt and capri-style jeans at the time of the robbery..." Clearly, someone (hint, April) needs to learn how to read...and take the race card chip off her shoulder...
