The next chapter in the Malvern shooting story has been delayed.
Merritt Dudas, the 24-year-old Collegeville man who allegedly shot and killed 21-year-old Malvern resident Drew Ferguson, was scheduled to appear in Chester County court on Nov 27 for a preliminary hearing. According to court documents, Judge Thomas Tartaglio continued Dudas’ hearing.
He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Dec 11, at 10 a.m. If the court date is not further continued, Dudas could receive his formal charges. Police arrested Dudas after he allegedly shot Ferguson in the head, then hid his body under a pile of debris.
Dudas is currently in Chester County Prison without the possibility of bail.
