Child Porn Found on Man’s Computer in Perkiomen, Police Say

A Boyertown man was arrested in the Maple Hill Community in Perkiomen Township for alleged possession of child pornography, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.

James Fletcher Whaley, 61, of Pennsylvania Avenue in Boyertown, was arrested on March 11 after an investigation into the possession of child pornography his computer that began on Jan. 29, the PSP, Skippack Barracks said.

After a forensic examination of the computer and its contents allegedly identified roughly 100 images of child pornography, Whaley was charged with 50 counts of sexual abuse of children, possession of child pornography.

Judge Albert J. Augustine set Whaley’s bail at $50,000 cash, and Whaley was committed to Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
