PSP: DUI Crashes in Skippack, Marlborough

Pennsylvania State Police reported two DUI crashes in area; one driver was also charged with drug possession.

Telford Man Charged with DUI, Drug Posession after Skippack Crash

Pennsylvania State Police reports that Derik Lawley, 23, was arrested in Skippack Township after crashing his vehicle on 113 at 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 30.

The report states that Lawley, of Telford, crashed a 1995 Honda into a utility pole on 113 near Mary Ellen Drive.

Officers reported that they determined Lawley was under the influence of alcohol and in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed in District Court 38-1-24.

A Harleysville man is facing charges of DUI after he crashed his 1999 Ford Mustang in Marlborough Township at 6 a.m. on Sept. 30, according to a Pennsylvania State Police report.

According to police, Adam Yerger, 42, struck a utility pole, two mail boxes and a stone retention wall on the 4000 block of Geryville Pike.

Police say that Yerger was not injured, but showed signs of impairment after the crash.  He was taken to Grand View Hospital for chemical testing for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance.

Charges in District Court 38-2-02 are pending chemical test results.
