LOWER PERK LONGHORNS FUN DAY & REGISTRATION

The Lower Perk Longhorns are proud members of Pop Warner Football & Competitive Cheer.  Fun Day is on Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at our field on Route 113 in Collegeville (201 W. Third Avenue, just look for the tank in front of the VFW!).   It is a great day to register, see our field and meet our coaches.    You can learn more about the Longhorns at www.LPLonghorns.org .

Here are some major differences between Pop Warner and unweighted football:

- Players play against kids their own weight, age, and in most instances, years of experience.

- Pop Warner is the largest youth football program in the world.  We play different teams each week.

- We have up to five divisions of play at each weight class and teams are slotted in divisions based upon how the players have performed in the past. We play a 10 game season, and the games are always competitive!

- Teams at each division compete for a local championship in the Bux-Mont League.  Winners move on to play in the Eastern Region playoffs.  Region winners play in the Pop Warner Super Bowl in Disneyworld and appear on ESPN.   Our league has had 6 Eastern Region Champions in the past 4 years including our 2010 Junior Pee Wee team.

- Scholastics matter.  Children must maintain a satisfactory Grade Point Average.  Each year, children receive recognition, awards, and scholarships for academic excellence.  49 Longhorns were named as Pop Warner All-American Scholars in 2013!!

- YOU CAN PLAY POP WARNER FOOTBALL UP TO THE 8th GRADE!!

- No youth football program in the area has sent more players to play High School football than the Longhorns.   We don't like the term "feeder program" because by definition, you are acknowledging your goal is only beneficial to the kids that go on to play high school football, and we care about all of our players.  But if you want to know where football players come from, here you go;   Pop Warner is the largest "feeder program" for high schools, colleges, and the NFL in the world!  An astounding 70% of NFL players played Pop Warner football.

- Cheer on grass, perform on stage:  Our cheerleaders not only cheer at football games, the cheerleaders perform their routines at our League's Competitive Cheerleading Championship.  Winners compete for Regional Championships looking to earn the right to compete for the National Championship in Disneyworld as seen on ESPN!

Challenger Division: we have Challenger divisions in football and cheerleading.

We hope that your son or daughter will join the nearly 500,000 kids each fall that participates in Pop Warner Little Scholars programs!
