Getting to Know Cut Flowers: Queen Anne's Lace (Ammi)

Queen Anne's lace is gaining popularity these days due to the resurgence of vintage weddings.  It's soft, delicate look is perfect to fill in Victorian centerpieces or accent a beautiful vintage bouquet.  Queen Anne's lace used by florists is "domesticated" and not the same as the "weed" that grows by the curbside and in fields. It certainly does not have the same scent.  One fun fact about Ammi is that its color can be changed by having it take up dye through its stem.  You can turn it blue or green for if you like!  Also known as Bishop's Weed, Ammi is available all year around.
