Using Black in a Wedding

It used to be said that you should never wear black to a wedding. Not so much any more! Brides now embrace black for decor and guests are free to wear whatever color they like.

Black and White wedding?  Black and pink wedding?  How about black with silver?  Or black/white/green - black/white/yellow - black/white/red?  Black is popping up more and more frequently at weddings. and is always a challenge when a bride asks to use it as part of her color palette.  Are there any all black flowers?  Technically, no!  But there are gerber daisies with black centers and anemones have black centers.  And trachelium is such a dark purple it almost looks black! But with the help of floral paint, I can turn green foliage into black accents.  It works really well for a contemporary wedding or party.   Other black elements can include containers, feathers, beading, marbles, bubbles, and ribbon.   How about a touch of black and white damask?  Black linens, napkins, lanterns, candleabras and candles can all be considered when adding black to your wedding.
