Luscious Brown Weddings - The Color of our Earth

The color brown is made from combining red, yellow, and black. As rustic wedding become more fashionable, we'll be seeing more and more brown based weddings.

The color brown is a huge part of nature and the outdoors.  Trees are brown.  Animal fur is brown.  Soil is brown.  Country weddings.  Fall weddings.  Rustic weddings.  All of these themes have brown in their color palette. But brown can also be paired with pink, aqua blue, or yellow for a fabulous contemporary combination.  Think chocolate brown with a soft pink - really pretty. Shades of brown include auburn, beige, ecru, taupe, coffee, tan, wheat, sand, and khaki - all of which can be paired with an inumerable combination of colors.

And yes, there are several true brown flowers available in certain seasons including:  kangaroo paw, hypericum berries, gerber daisies, fiddleheads, chocolate cosmos, chrysanthemums, sunflowers, and cymbidium orchids. During the Fall and Winter don't forget about brown pine cones, pheasant feathers, dried lotus pods, dried eucalyptus, and scabiosa pods.  I've done a LOT of weddings with branches:  willow, birch, and manzanita. Brown is everywhere you look and today an easy color to incorporate into your wedding color palette.
