Jingle Jog, House Tour Holiday Happenings in Collegeville This Weekend

The weekend will include a 5K race, holiday bazaar, Christmas tree lighting and a Holiday Hour Tour are on tap this weekend in Collegeville.

There will be plenty of holiday spirit in the Perkiomen Valley this weekend, as the Collegeville Economic Development Committee is hosting a Jingle Jog and Holiday Happenings Event, and the Holiday House Tour.

The fun started Saturday at 3 p.m. with the Jingle Jog 5K race, starting at Collegeville Station and extending to the streets of Collegeville and the Perkiomen Trail.  Prizes will be distributed in various age groups. 

At the same time, the Holiday Bazaar will open in the E. Third Avenue trail parking lot, next to DaVinci’s Pub. Those not racing can browse from local vendors for unique gifts, games and barbecue and refreshments.

From 4-6 p.m., The Community Music School and the Dance Depot will perform, along with other musical talent.

Between 5-5:15 p.m., Santa will arrive on Main Street, and at 5:30, the Collegeville tree will be lit.

The night will be finished off with a reception featuring complimentary beet and wine at DaVinci’s Club, beginning at 6 p.m.

Sponsors for the event include DaVinci’s Pub, Edward Jones, Fashionista’s Salon, Miller Turetsky Rule & McLennan, TR Insurance, Valley Forge Running Company, and Whitby Jewelers.

On Sunday, the CEDC presents its Second Annual Holiday House Tour, where residents can visit eight local homes, all different from last year, that are decorated for the holidays.
