NOV 10 Worship Service to Honor Vets
VETS to be Honored and Coats for Needy Collected in observance of St. Martin's Day
VFW Post 7155 Chaplain will participate in the service of worship and children will carry in donated coats for the needy during the offering and carry a St. Martin's lantern they have made. This is a tradition traced back to the 4th century Roman soldier who gave half his cloak to a naked beggar in a snow storm. The soldier became a Christian and bishop, St. Martin of Tours.
Vets and their families of the community are invited to worship and stay for light refreshments.
