Kutztown University: Children's Literature Conference

The Elementary Education Department will be hosting the 16th Annual Children's Literature Conference on April 12, 2014. This year's featured authors/illustrators are:

Frank Serafini: CYBLS Award for Best Non-fiction: Looking Closely Series: The Shore, The Forest, The Dessert, The Garden, The Rainforest, The Pond & Reading the Visual: Navigating and Comprehending Multimodal Texts

Jim Murphy: Newbery Honor Award winning Author: Invincible Microbe Tuberculosis and the Never-Ending Search for a Cure, The Great Fire, An American Plague, Truce, Blizzard

David Wiesner: Caldecott Medal Award winning Illustrator: Flotsam, Art & Max, Tuesday, The Three Pigs

Every year the event welcomes teachers, parents, college students, etc. to expand their knowledge of children's literature resources. For Teachers: Attendees can earn 5 hours of Act 48 Credits or a 4 hour PA KEY Training Certificate for attending.
