Local Instagram Photos Now Searchable by Location

Residents in the Perkiomen Valley can now search photos on Instagram by location – from Wegman's Sushi to new hair cuts at Mint Hair Salon– on Worldcam.com.

The site features is a search engine that allows visitors to search for Instagram photos by location, using applications programing interfaces (APIs) from Instagram, Fousquare, Geonames and Geoplugin, according to PC World.

By typing in “Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania,” users can see scenic views of the campus, students posing with statues, and an Ursinus Gymnastics meet, and much more.

Browsing through “Skippack, Pennsylvania” photos, you’ll see tons of local businesses, kitchen messes, Skippack Days, and other scenes.

If users search "Moccia's Tran Stop in Schwenksville, Pennsylvania," they will see photos of wings, ice cream, and a scenic "lunch view."

“We all love Instagram, but until now there hasn't really been an easy way of finding photos from a specific venue. We're here to fix that,” the site says. “We believe Worldcam is the best and easiest way of finding out what's happening right now, anywhere on the planet.”
