I will NEVER EVER take any jewelry back to Chiccarine's EVER, especially not something as personal and special to me as my engagement ring, like I mistakenly did today to get resized. Not only did they WAY over charge me ($85 to go down half of a size) but they tried to return it to my missing a diamond! Why in the world would they need to touch the diamonds on the top of the ring if their just resizing my band?! What if I didn't notice that a diamond was missing?! I never got an apology either! When I told the guy it was missing a diamond his response was simple, he said "oh" as if it was no big deal. He followed that up with "huh, I guess it fell out when I was cleaning it". Are you kidding me?! It's a $9,600.00 custom engagement ring, I assure you that there was no lame settings in there. Also, when I asked the woman who rang me up, who wanted me to pay "real quick before I saw my ring", when I asked why the total was so much just to get it resized, she couldn't give me an answer, all she said was that there were a lot of factors they needed to take into consideration. When asked what kind of factors she was referring to? She couldn't give me an example, she just said "factors". Needless to say, I took it to Sabre's (incredible place), in Collegeville, for them to make sure all my diamonds and sapphires were real and put back properly because they obviously reset most of them (it was painfully obvious and very poorly done) and they checked my ring and fixed it for free and also fixed the big scratch and dent the "jeweler" (I use that term loosely for those who work at Chiccarine's) put in the sides of my ring from holding it with pliers. If you want to over pay for a horrible job, then by all means, go to Chiccarine's. They should be ashamed of themselves and embarrassed of their horrible work!
