The Tennis Shop Celebrating Expansion with a Grand Re-Opening

Local business opening doors at new location; festivities taking place this weekend.

The Tennis Shop opened three years ago on Main Street in Collegeville to provide tennis players of all skill levels and ages a store that supports their tennis needs. The family-run business has seen growth with in-store and online customers. Owner, Joyce Capuzzi says, “The expansion is exciting. We hired new employees, we're carrying more merchandise, and we’re shipping to customers all over the country."

On Saturday, June 2, the Tennis Shop will celebrate the expansion of their retail store with a grand re-opening at their new location, 327 E. Main St., Collegeville. The grand re-opening will be done as a fundraiser with all proceeds going to pediatric cancer research through Alex's Lemonade Stand. Prizes include donations from Wilson, Head, Babolat, Life is Tennis and The Tennis Shop.

The event will feature food, prizes, tattoos for kids, and a daylong raffle. Raffle tickets are available through June 2. You can purchase tickets by either stopping by the Tennis Shop or calling and making a donation by phone, 610-489-4407. There is another way to donate -- just text E83093.

“The grand reopening is a fun way to celebrate our expansion and its helping us get more involved with the community,” says Capuzzi.

The Tennis Shop carries Babolat, Wilson, Nike, Nike Team, Head, Prince, K-Swiss, Tail, Dunlop, Gamma, Bolle, Little Miss Tennis, Fila, Lija, DUC, Oakley; and soon Adidas. It also provides racquet stringing on premises and discounted team uniforms.
