One of the best parts of living in the Perkiomen Valley is all of the great weekend activities.  In addition to our regular events (which, as always, can be found on our events calendar), we've put together a list of unique weekend events.

Skippack Playcrafters Present "Allo Allo" - Playcrafters of Skippack's fifth production of their 2012 season is the hilarious comedy ‘ALLO ‘ALLO written by Jeremy Lloyd & David Croft. Based on the BBC series that ran for 10 years this zany comedy, set in France during World War II, proves you can never have too much of a good thing! If you need a good laugh this will definitely do the trick.

13th Annual Ursinus College Fringe Festival  - The 13th Annual Ursinus Fringe Festival will be held on campus from Sept. 19 through Sept. 23. Professional theater companies direct from the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, plus student and faculty performances, are included in this event. It is a fun, unpredictable festival of creative and original theater performances under the guidance of Domenick Scudera, Professor of Theater and Chair of the Theater and Dance Department.

PV Youth Football & Cheer Dedication Weekend - This past weekend our neighbors at the Plymouth Meeting Police Department lost one of their own, Officer Bradley Fox. To show our unwavering support for the Plymouth Township Police Department this weekends games are dedicated to Officer Fox

SATURDAY:

South Elementary School Crazy Viking Fun Run/Walk - Plan on arriving at Valley Forge Running Company in Collegeville at 7:15 to check in and pick up your race day packet - race-day registrations are welcome. Proceeds benefit South Elementary's Home & School Association.

Fall Festival & Schwenksville High School Alumi Reunion  -  Fall Festival: Music by The SOS Gang - vendors, food court, gently used jewelry, book sale and more! Schwenksville LANCO School All Class Alumni Reunion: Visit with fellow classmates, bring your school memorabilia to display, take a tour down memory lane!

Craft Marketplace at Pennypacker Mills - Come one come all!  Get your holiday shopping done early.  The Friends of Pennypacker Mills at 5 Haldeman Road in Schwenksville has 30 unique, highly-rated, hand-crafting craftsmen ready to meet all your wants and needs. There will be a bake sale and craft raffle at the Friends table.  Proceeds go toward the restoration of the kitchen and servant area recently acquired by Pennypacker Mills.

Olivia at Towne Book Center - The "New York Times" #1 bestselling, Caldecott Honor-winning, heart-stealing "Olivia" is coming to Towne - 3 PM on September 22. RSVP to 610-454-0640.

Collegeville Yard Sale - The Community Yard Sale is sponsored by the non-profit Collegeville Economic Development Corporation (CEDC), which runs the Main Street program and the Farmers’ Market.  They will be selling ICED by Betsy cupcakes and cold drinks as a fundraiser.  While at the Yard Sale, hungry customers and vendors can also take advantage of the Collegeville Shopping Center’s many eateries:  Dunkin’ Donuts, Rita’s water Ice, The Pizza Stop, Subway, Great Wall Chinese Restaurant and McDonald’s, as well as take care of errands at the local businesses.

- This is our second time for this event and we are thrilled to be able to offer wonderful speakers, local historical organizations from all over Montgomery County and a historical trade village so you can experience how things were made in days gone by. Bring your children and come experience the treasures in your own backyard..

Mutts Making Money for Melaina - 3rd Annual Mutts Making Money For Melaina Dog walk/Family Fun Day benefiting the Children’s Alopecia Project on Sunday, September 23, 2012 RAIN or SHINE from 11:00 – 2:00 p.m. NEW LOCATION -Anderson Farm Park, 499 Hopwood Road, Collegeville.
