Skippack Floral Designer to Host Wedding Planning Event

There is so much to plan for a wedding. There are invitations to select, dinners to choose and gifts to register for, of course. Don't forget in the cake sampling and dress sizings to also take some time out and smell the roses, so to speak.

Selecting your wedding flowers can be a headache, but it doesn't have to be. With the assistance of a Skippack florist, any bride can get some free insight into the selection of arrangements that can make a special day even more unique.

According to an article in the Limerick Post, the Skippack-based Whimsical Welcomes Floral Designs will host a free educational session with brides-to-be in the area. The event, scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 3, from 2 to 4 p.m.

The event will be held at the Shearer Elegance Bed and Breakfast, 1154 Main St., in Linfield. All area brides are welcome to attend, but preregistration is required. You can register for the event by clicking here.

According to the Post, the day will cover flower choices, working on a budget and selecting your boquet, as well as centerpieces.

"The February discussion will include ... expert advice on planning; a tour of the mansion, and light refreshments," said the Post event page.

Whimsical Welcomes Floral Designs has operated in Skippack since 2003. The staff, according to the florists' website, is made up of former elementary school teachers who found flowers to be a great way to express themselves.

"Its members have trained at Longwood Gardens, Temple University, and Delaware Valley College," said the site.
