New Back Porch Cafe Offers Homemade Meals with Fresh Ingredients

The Back Porch Cafe in Skippack has reopened under new management and making homemade meals with all fresh ingredients.

Mal's American Diner owner, Deana Catagnus, re-opened the Back Porch Cafe on Monday, Feb. 18. The Back Porch, which was a very popular Skippack restaurant, closed in October of 2012, and Catagnus said the opportunity to re-open the restaurant was presented to her and she was excited to take it.

The Back Porch is offering similar style food and Catagnus said she kept a few of the menu items from the previous menu. However, she did change the menu and she said they are using all fresh ingredients and everything is cooked fresh and homemade. She said she believe that homemade is by far better than canned or processed foods.

"I take pride in trying to create stuff the public would love," she said.
