Collegeville Cuts Ribbon on Main Street Nutrition [Updated]

Located at 358 Main St. in Collegeville, the business provides a fun atmosphere to focus on nutrition.

You could think of Main Street Nutrition, the newest business addition to Main Street in Collegeville that held a ribbon cutting on Feb. 15, as a bar for the health conscious.

“It’s teas and smoothies instead of shots and beers,” said co-owner Tim McGlone, who opened the storefront at 358 Main Street with his fiancé, Tara McNulty, on Dec. 29.

“Tara and I used to be bartenders, but we were sore thumbs because we were into being healthy and fit,” McGlone said.

McGlone said the new spot is a “chill environment,” like a bar, but to focus on nutrition.

In addition to the beverages, Main Street Nutrition, which McGlone refers to as a “nutrition club,” offers weight loss challenges every six weeks—a new one starts next week—in which members meet ever Monday night to track fitness goals and learn more about nutrition with various classes.

“The goal is that customers can have lifelong information on being healthy,” McGlone said.

Main Street Nutrition also offers “fit camps” on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. and a “run club” on Sundays at 9:30 a.m., both of which meet at the business.  For more information, visit the business’s Facebook Page.

Main Street Nutrition is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
