Just around the corner from the Perkiomen Valley area, in the Oaks area is new 50s-style burger joint, Cheeburger Cheeburger. Manager Wayne Eppinger said the restaurant opened on January 21, with a line of hungry customers waiting out the door.
The burgers, made of black angus, never frozen beef are served in six different sizes, including the pounder - a 20 ounce burger - and diners can choose between 9 cheeses, 35 free toppings, and specialty toppings to customize their burger to their favorite, or try something new each time.
However, man can not live on cheeseburgers alone, Cheeburger Cheeburger also offers onion rings, french fries, salads, wraps, and much more.
Eppinger told Patch that the onion rings and french fries are cut fresh daily. And, just as diners can customize their burgers, they can also customize their fries. There are five dipping sauces and then choose from any of the burger topping for your fries (salsa, cheese and jalapeños, anyone?).
Cheeburger Cheeburger also offers 1,285,000 milkshake flavors. Their milkshakes are hand dipped Edy's Grand ice cream and, as with the rest of the menu, choose one or any number of ice cream flavors to make your perfect shake.
Eppinger told Patch he was a customer of the Frazer location for the past eight years and when he was looking for something beyond the corporate world, his daughter recommended he open something he clearly enjoyed.
Cheeburger Cheeburger in Oaks is open from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m., seven days a week.
