Perk Valley SD Classes Resume Sept. 4
A look at the school district's 2013-2014 calendar and school supply list.
The Perkiomen Valley School District will start after Labor Day this year, according to the district’s official calendar.
The school year will kick off with a half day on Sept. 4, followed by an in-service day on Sept. 5 and a full day on Sept. 6, a Friday, for grades 1-12. Students in kindergarten will not attend the half-day on Sept. 4.
The post-Labor Day start was a result of teacher union negotiations, according to school board president Lori Snyder.

The last day of school is tentatively scheduled for June 17.
