'Back to School' Means Annual Screenings for Students

Schools are mandated to record the height, weight, BMI, vision and hearing of students.

In addition to seeing old friends and new teachers students heading back to school this month can also count on seeing the friendly face of their school nurse.

Certified school nurses in the Perkiomen Valley School District are responsible for collecting data on an annual basis to record the height, weight, BMI, vision and hearing of students.

These screenings are state mandates to measure student help.
