Skippack Music Studio Brings Holiday Cheer to Meadowood [PHOTOS]

Catherine's Music Studio, of Skippack, visited the Meadowood Retirement Community in Worcester on Dec. 16 for two recitals.

Students of Catherine's Music Studio in Skippack presented two recitals to the residents of the Meadowood Retirement Community in Worcester on Dec. 16.

The 11 a.m. recital featured a variety of holiday songs on the piano and drums - from "We Three Kings" to "All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth."

The 2:30 recital, photos of which are attached to this article, included performances from voice, strings and piano students.

Songs ranged from a young student performing "O Come Little Children" on the violin to Judy Winship singing "Ave Maria."

The later recital featured a performance from owner Catherine Offner, as she joined a quartet to perform "In the Bleak Midwinter."

While the studio as performed holiday shows over the past few years, this was the first time at Meadowood.

"It's a nice 'feel good' day with lots of holiday songs on many different instruments," said Offner.  "And even some group sing-a-longs to get everyone into the holiday spirit."

The residents seemed to appreciated the visit.

"It's so nice to see these kinds of things here," one attendee said.
