This winter is only a few weeks old, but already its wild weather is taking a toll on the roads.
In one 24-hour period last week, temperatures plunged a whopping 40 degrees. Those extreme temperature fluctuations combined with a good bit of precipitation all add up to one thing: potholes.
The potholes are particularly bad particularly early this year, The Philadelphia Inquirer said. It said PennDOT was working as quickly as possible to fix them.
You can report potholes, and other maintenance concerns, directly to PennDOT at 1-800-FIX-ROAD.
