Ursinus Student Named ‘Miss American Teen Pennsylvania’

Allison Nicole Kratz, 18, will represent Pennsylvania at a national pageant.

Allison Nicole Kratz, a 2012 Spring-Ford Area High School graduate and current Ursinus student, was crowned Miss American Teen Pennsylvania at the Radisson Hotel Harrisburg Hershey in Camp Hill, Pa., and will go on to represent Pennsylvania at the 2013 Miss American Teen Pageant in Florida in November.

Daughter of Shelley Kratz, Allison Kratz is currently majoring in neuroscience and biology at Ursinus College.  

Kratz spends time volunteering for organizations such as Cradles to Crayons, Fighting for Ophelia, To Write Love on Her Arms and Spring-Ford S.N.A.P.

Kratz’s favorite quote is from Ellen Johnson Sirleaf: “If your dreams don’t scare you, they are not big enough.”

American Coed Pageants, Inc., holds pageants annually to reward “outstanding young women for their past and present accomplishments, and to encourage them to set and achieve high goals for the future,” according to organizers.
