Trappe Fire Co. Holding Chicken and Rib Dinner at Augustus Carnival

Orders must be received by July 20, according to event organizers.

The Trappe Fire Co. is holding a chicken and rib dinner in conjunction with the Augustus Carnival on Aug. 3.

Order are being taken now through June 20 for the meals, which can be picked up between 4-7 p.m. at the carnival, which will be held July 31-Aug. 3 on Main Street in Trappe.

The $10 meal consists of a barbecue chicken (grilled to perfection, the fire company says), cole slaw, potato salad, a roll and butter and beans.

For $12, the fire company is selling a half rack of St. Louis style ribs, slow cooked in a special firehouse sauce, cole slaw, potato salad, a roll and butter and beans.

The fire company will have a dunk tank and a paparazzi booth at the carnival, which will also include rides, games, foods and beverages.
