North Wales Road Closure Postponed

The road closing scheduled for Thursday has been tentatively rescheduled for Friday.

North Wales Road in Worcester Township will no longer be closed to traffic on Thursday night near the Pennsylvania Turnpike Underpass; the construction has been tentatively rescheduled to Friday night.

"The closures are necessary for the protection of the workers and travelers during the placement of concrete on the northbound and southbound decks of the overhead bridge currently in construction," according to the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.

During the closure, traffic will be detoured on North Wales Road from Township Line and Morris Roads  between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Traveling westbound, drivers using the detour will travel  Morris Road DeKalb Pike, and Swede and Township Line Roads.

The work is part of the Pennsylvania Turnpike's reconstruction and widening project.
