Green Lane Park Offers ‘Winter Tree ID Made Easy’

The Montco Parks and Heritage Services will host the program on Jan. 26 at 1 p.m.

If you often wonder about the trees throughout the Perkiomen Valley, staff at the Green Lane Park wants to help you figure them out.

The Montgomery County Parks and Heritage Services Division’s Green Lane Park will offer tips and tricks for identifying native trees in this free program, suggested for adults and children eight and older.

Participants will learn how to identify trees using bark, twigs and seeds as clues, and will also learn about local trees.

The program will take place outdoors, and will meet at the Deep Creek Area at Green Lane Park.  Preregistration is required – call 215-234-4528.
