Cookbook, Kids Book Swap at Collegeville Farmers Market

Guests of the weekly Saturday morning event will also hear live music.

In addition to fruits, vegetables, herbs and dozens of other local products, Collegeville Farmers Market customers on Saturday can participate in a cookbook and kid’s book swap, which will include the Perkiomen Valley Library.

The swap will be held at a tent in the market, open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Davinci’s Pub parking lot, located at 217 E. Main Street in Collegeville.

Guests are invited to bring a gently used cookbook for a mid-summer swap.

“Find inspiration from someone else’s favorite book of recipes, and give your once-loved cookbook a happy new home,” says a release from the Collegeville Economic Development Corporation (CEDC), organizer of the weekly event.

At 10 and 11 a.m., the Perkiomen Valley Library will be on hand for story time, and will have children’s books on hand to swap with customers.

“Whether you’re looking to give a makeover your kid’s collection of books or gather your kids around for a story, be sure to stop by,” CEDC says.

In addition to the book swap, Fiorenza-Dowlin will be on hand to perform live music. The duo’s catalog includes original songs, as well as covers from James Taylor, Gordon Lightfoot and Cat Stevens, among others.
