Brrrr! Colder Temps on the Way

The growing season is coming to an end, the National Weather Service says.

By Jack Tobias

Chilly autumn weather will continue for the next few days, with the National Weather Service having issued a frost advisory Wednesday night for the northern sections of Bucks and Montgomery counties.

In the Lansdale area, it will be cool, but not cool enough to warrant any advisories or warnings. Thursday will show a frost advisory by 4 a.m.

There is a chance of showers before 9 p.m., then a chance of sprinkles between 9 p.m. and midnight. It will be mostly cloudy with a low of 36.

The weather service also says the growing season likely will end for a large portion of its Mount Holly, N.J., office's forecast area by Saturday morning. That area includes the Lehigh Valley and Bucks and Montgomery counties.

The frost declaration was for late Wednesday into Thursday morning. But the weather service says it may issue updated declarations in upcoming days.

High temperatures for Thursday through the weekend are expected to be in the low to mid 50s, with nighttime lows in the 30s. A warming trend with highs in the mid to upper 50s and low 60s is expected for early next week.
