A Militia Court resident reported that someone smeared dog feces on his car's door handle sometime between 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 24, and 9 a.m. Friday, May 25, according to Collegeville Police. The resident suspected he knew who the perpetrator was, but did not have any proof, police said.
A Pottstown man will face charges in connection to a harassment incident that occurred at Perkiomen Valley Express Care, Monday afternoon, May 21, according to a Pennsylvania State Police report. The report alleges that Hassan Attia, 36, "started a verbal confrontation (about) the work (a 33-year-old Norristown man) performed on his vehicle." Attia then allegedly struck the other man's face and fled the scene. Charges will be filed in District Court 38-1-24, the report states. Emergency personnel responded to a two-car crash on Saturday afternoon, May 19, in Perkiomen Township. Both drivers suffered minor injuries, according to a Pennsylvania State Police report. Collegeville resident Michelle Campbell was driving a 1995 Ford Taurus north on Route 113 when she stopped in the 70 block and waited to turn left into her driveway. Lansdale resident Donald T. Reese was also traveling north on Route 113, and when his Saturn Vue came over the hill and "could not stop in time," police said. Collegeville Police Officer Andrew Sohl responded to a report of a suspicious male at Wawa. The shift manager called police after approaching a man who who had been walking around the store "holding something under his sleeve," the report states. The man reportedly became argumentative. He had left the store by the time Sohl and Officer Cubbler arrived, so they began to check the area. Pennsylvania State Police are investigating an attempted theft case at a Perkiomen Township home on Thursday afternoon, March 29. According to a police report, a member of the Township Line Road household returned to the residence and saw a late-model green pickup truck in the driveway. The individual “then observed a (man) walk from behind the residence to the front”; he was carrying a leaf blower and a bicycle seat. Trappe Ambulance transported a Limerick woman to Paoli Hospital to be treated for injuries following a one-car crash in Trappe Borough around 11:45 p.m. on March 23. According to a Pennsylvania State Police report, Danielle Jarota, 27, was driving west in the 300 block of Main Street, and as her Chevrolet HHR “arrived in the area of Apian Way, it traveled onto the sidewalk” and crashed into a utility pole. “It is likely that this crash was due, in part, to a medical condition,” the report states. Pennsylvania State Police say a 16-year-old Schwenksville boy confessed to three burglaries within the last four months. According to a police report, during an interview the teen confessed to the December 2011 burglary at the Schwenksville liquor store, as well as the burglary this past weekend and the February burglary at Moccia's Train Stop. Nothing was taken during the Moccia's burglary, and troopers found partial shoe prints at the scene.   Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a burglary at the Schwenksville Wine and Spirits store; it occurred sometime between 12:05 and 2:21 a.m. March 10, according to a report. Police said the perpetrator gained entry to the store by “smashing the right side glass entry door. Once inside, (the burglar) then walked to the front display case and removed items from the display.” The burglar removed five bottles from the display and then left the scene, dropping one bottle while exiting, the report states. Pennsylvania State Police are seeking information about three men who physically assaulted a 42-year-old man outside Rockwell’s Restaurant in Green Lane shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26. According to a police report, three men who were drinking at Rockwell’s pulled the man outside the restaurant and repeatedly punched and kicked him. The man suffered several injuries, including cuts and bruises to his hands, face and arms as well as “major internal injuries to his rib section,” the report states. An unknown person (or people) stole copper pipes from the Perkiomen Bridge Hotel. A Collegeville police officer made this discovery while on patrol Saturday, Feb. 25. According to a report by Officer Andrew Sohl, he noticed the rear loading dock door, leading to the old hotel’s kitchen, was open. Upon inspecting the property’s second floor, Sohl “observed that the baseboard covers were removed and the copper piping used inside the baseboards were removed.” A further check of the second floor revealed that “all the baseboard covers were removed and all copper was stolen,” Sohl wrote. Police are investigating a break-in at Moccia’s Train Stop that occurred around 2 a.m. Feb. 16. Nothing was stolen, according to the Pennsylvania State Police. The burglar (or burglars) unsuccessfully attempted to pry open the back door, and then used an unknown object to smash a window in the southeast corner of the building, police said.  The unknown person (or people) then entered the Gravel Pike business. Collegeville Woman Loses Control of Car, Hits Tree A Collegeville woman suffered minor injuries after the car she was driving hit a tree, Sunday, Feb. 12. Gatrina Nolan, 19, was driving north on Kagey Road, approaching the intersection of Forge Road, in Perkiomen Township. Nolan lost control of the 1993 Volvo 900 she was driving, traveling to the left side of the road and striking a tree. A blue Oldsmobile Alero was stolen by an unknown person around 1:30 a.m., Feb. 11, after it was left running outside the Skippack Wawa. According to a Pennsylvania State Police report, a 33-year-old Norristown man left the car unlocked and running when the thief entered the vehicle and fled the scene, driving northbound on Route 113. A Skippack man reported a burglary at his home in the 2000 block of Old Forty Foot Road, according to a Pennsylvania State Police report. The incident occurred sometime between Sunday, Jan. 15, and Wednesday, Jan. 18. The man told police that people damaged his residence’s garage door and entered the garage. There was also an attempt to enter the residence by “forcing a front window up and tearing out the interior screen,” the report states.
