Telford Woman Severely Injured in Perkiomen Township Crash

She also received a traffic violation for failure to yield to an oncoming car when performing a left turn.

A Telford woman sustained major injuries when her car crashed into another vehicle on Township Line Road approaching Panepinto Road in Perkiomen Township just before 9 p.m. on Nov. 5, according to a police report from the Pennsyvlania State Police.

Barbara Meade, 74, was traveling south on Township Line Road in a Chevrolet Cobalt and attempted to make a left into Panepinto Drive when a male driver traveling north on Township Line Road, whose identity has been withheld by State Police, crashed into her with his Lexus.

Meade's vehicle was pushed off the roadway after the crash, and she was transported to Hahnemann University Hospital. Meade was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to police.

Meade received a VC3322 as a result of the crash, a violation for failure to yield to an oncoming car when performing a left turn, police said.

The driver of the Lexus sustained minor injuries and received no traffic citation.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

The other driver was under the age of 18, therefore the police could not release his name.
