This is Greg. As you can see, Greg is a turkey.

Early Saturday afternoon, as snow began to blanket the area, Greg decided to go on a little adventure.

It seems that one of Greg's owners up at the Pheasant Hill Farm accidentally left a door open. The winter wonderland beckoned, and Greg apparently couldn't resist its call.

He made his way to downtown Schwenksville, about a half-mile from his home, and began taking in the snow-covered sights … from the middle of Gravel Pike.

Mail carrier Lou Ferraro, who was making his rounds on foot, said he witnessed a minor one-car fender bender that he believed was caused by the driver's efforts to avoid striking Greg. 

John Scioli, owner of John's Old School New Skool Barber Shop, took the photos and video that accompany this article. He told Patch that he believed Greg disrupted traffic through Schwenksville for about 20 minutes. We're not sure how much of the disruption was actually caused by Scioli's amateur turkey call (watch the video). 

Eventually, Greg's owner, Luke Alderfer (pictured here in a red hoodie, holding Greg) arrived on the scene. With Scioli's help, Alderfer retrieved Greg from the middle of the road.
