Skippack Teen Gets Jail Time for Burglaries

Three other young men are also facing charges in connection with the crimes

Ryan Patrick Stephens, 19, of Skippack was sentenced to six to 23 months in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility after admitting to several residential burglaries last spring in Skippack, according to an article in the Lansdale Reporter.

Alleged co-conspirators David Burke, 19, of Schwenksville, Christopher Park, 20, of Lederach, and Mark Taus, 20, are still waiting for their days in court, the article continues.

According to the article, “Judge William R. Carpenter also ordered Stephens to complete four years’ probation after he’s paroled from jail. Stephens, who must share with his three alleged co-conspirators in the payment of $17,026 in restitution, is eligible for the jail’s work release program during his incarceration, the judge said.”

The Skippack burglaries took place between March 29 and April 19 in the 4100 block of Arthur Trail, , the 700 block of Jamestown Road, and the , a Pennsylvania State Police report from May states.

Burke allegedly told authorities that the burglars would sell the stolen items in order to buy drugs in Philadelphia, according to the article.
