My friend, Jo-Anne, had eggs, sausage and home fries this morning. Boy that looks good!
My breakfast this morning was fantastic! I LOVE well done home fries with onions! The Chip Beef at Comfort Cafe is awesome.... you have to try it......... YUM!
Comfort Cafe, the best breakfast in town!
My husband, Dave, enjoying his daily breakfast at Comfort Cafe...his favorite place to eat! Food is yummy and service is excellent! Dinner specials are the best and it's BYOB (if you so choose)!!!

Thanks to strong public support in the comments, and some last-minute vote surges, PV Patch readers will have another week to determine their favorite Family Friendly Restaurant.

Fans of Tommy Mo's and Comfort Cafe are encouraged to sound off, and show off, how much they love each eatery.

The winner will be determined by the total number of positive comments and photos of diners enjoying their sit-down meals in the restaurant (or picking up takeout).

Rules:
• Only one comment per username will be counted. Each comment is worth one point.
• Photos must be uploaded by a customer (or customers) and be taken inside the restaurant. Photos are worth two points. Employees/owners may not upload photos.
To clarify, only one photo per user will be counted for the points. Customers must be seen in the photos.

As with the poll, submisssions will not be accepted past 9 a.m. Friday.

Owners and employees can encourage their customers to take part in this face-off, and each restaurant will be issued a "finalist" certificate for making it this far.

Comfort Cafe is the best! The food is so good, the restaurant is clean, the atmosphere is warm and the owner and staff are fantastic. I have breakfast there several times a week and it's excellent. Lunch and dinners are also very good and everything is very reasonably priced. Best chicken cheesesteak in the area! Try ordering a chicken cheesesteak with fried onions, mushrooms and bacon, delish!

I love the Comfort Cafe! The food is fantastic and everyone you meet is so very nice. My favorite food is French Toast - delicious made with thick Texas toast. We stop in every Thursday evening and at least once for breakfast on the weekend. If I worked in Collegeville, I'd eat there for lunch every day.

Just calling it like I see it Dave, but thanks for your concern & setting me straight. I really don't care who wins here as I've never dined at either establishment, but I do plan on checking them both out & making my own determination because of this poll. Take care & maybe I'll see you when I visit the cafe!

Blind Dog,
If you stop by the restaurants tonight, you can see "Patchers" in action as we talk to patrons and work to drum up last-minute comments and photos for the poll. Two Patch people will be at Comfort Cafe from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and two others will be at Tommy Mo's from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. We have small items to give away, as well as arts and crafts for the kids.
Come on out!

Have never heard a complaint from a Comfort Cafe customer...the owners & waitresses are always eager to please. It's tough to beat the combination of tasty home-style food, great prices and a fantastic staff.

It's also good to see such enthusiasm for 2 great restaurants. Many thanks to Ann at Patch for turning this into a lively positive face-off. The Food Network show "Iron Chef" comes to mind where the skills of 2 highly respected chefs are featured. No matter what the outcome here, I can only see both establishments benefiting from all the increased publicity.

Congratulations to all who have participated.

To Dave McKeon:

I agree with you about the need for good eateries in ANY community and I believe that anyone who doesn't try BOTH of these restaurants with an open mind would only be cheating themselves.

Even a Blind Dog sees that ;-)
