Perkiomen Valley Girls Tennis Shuts Out Pottsgrove

Vikings headed to non-league game at Christopher Dock.

Singles:  Emily Wendel (PV) def. Ashleigh Kleinschmidt 6-0, 6-0; Hannah Toombs (PV) def. Mariah Fuess 6-0, 6-0; Leona Kretzu (PV) def. Jessica Smyrski 6-0, 6-0.  

Doubles: Jeanette Wiley/Vini Kumar (PV) def. Paige Porter/Ashley Monzo 6-0, 6-0; Danielle Newbill/Abena Aggrey (PV) def. Hannah Bauer/Hannah Short 6-0, 6-1; Nicole Caramano/Alexa Bachinsky (PV) def. Cheyenne Parris/Melissa Radomicki 6-1, 6-1; Emma Mantey/Abby Dove (PV) def. Kayla Peterman/Arizonna Brennan 6-0, 6-2.  

The Vikings dropped only 5 total games in 7 varsity matches on their way to a sweep of the visiting Falcons on Tuesday. Perkiomen Valley's trio of singles players, sophomore Emily Wendel, senior Hannah Toombs and Junior Leona Kretzu won all of their matches in shutouts, 6-0, 6-0. The first doubles team of Jeanette Wiley and Vini Kumar did the same.   

Perkiomen Valley is now 4-2 in the PAC-10 and travels to Christopher Dock Wednesday for a non-league match.
