UPDATE: One-Vehicle Crash into Small Embankment in Skippack

Emergency crews responded to the scene.

An elderly Collegeville woman was taken to Phoenixville Hospital after suffering moderate injuries when her car flipped in the air and crashed into an embankment on Creek Road in Skippack, Sunday morning, Feb. 5, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

A police report states Margaret Williams, 86, was traveling west on Creek Road, approaching the intersection with Penn Road, when her 2008 Ford Focus sedan "traveled off the roadway to the right," striking a sign post and embankment.

Following the impact, the car flipped in the air before coming to rest in the westbound lane, about 60 feet from the initial impact, police said.

Skippack Fire Co. and EMS were among the responders. Norm's Save Station towed the car from the scene.

Williams will be cited violating vehicle code 3309 (1) (driving within a single lane), according to police.
