Quakertown Man Victim in Fatal Crash on Route 309
A three-car collision occurred Thursday morning at Bethlehem Pike and Advance Lane in Hatfield Township. One man was pronounced dead at the scene and a second driver was airlifted for medical treatment.

Dr. Walter Hofman, coroner of Montgomery County, has identified the victim in the Thursday morning crash as Nathaniel Rocque, 25, of Quakertown.
UPDATE THURSDAY 2 P.M.
The male driver of a red Toyota Corolla died at the scene of an accident Thursday morning at Bethlehem Pike and Advance Lane in Hatfield.
According to Dan Sokil of The Reporter, the driver was northbound on Bethlehem Pike/Route 309 and drifted into the inside southbound lane.
The car was hit head-on by a silver Subaru Forester that was southbound on 309, according to the article.
The female driver of the Forester was removed by firefighters from Hatfield, Hilltown and Colmar fire companies, along with Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale, according to the article.
She was flown by PennStar to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

MontcoAlerts reports one subject is dead on arrival at a fatal accident at Bethlehem Pike and Advance Lane in Hatfield Township.
A three-car collision occurred shortly before 9 a.m. with a report of a subject trapped in a vehicle.
According to Dan Sokil and Amanda Piccirilli of The Reporter, the vehicles involved were a newer model red 4-door Toyota and a silver SUV.
The male driver of the red sedan is unidentified, according to the Storify report.
A gold Kia was also involved in the accident, according to reports.
PennStar arrived on scene to transport at least one subject for treatment of injuries.
Traffic remains affected on Bethlehem Pike/309 between Advance Lane and Line Lexington Road.

I live down around the corner and that spot has had numerous fatal accidents. At night, when going southbound, the road falls off and turns and a lot of people misjudge it and continue straight leading to many near misses. Tragic.
