Minor Injuries in Two-Car Crash, Entrapment in Skippack

People involved have been taken to area hospitals for further evaluation

Three people suffered minor injuries and were transported to Paoli and Phoenixville hospitals for further evaluation and possible treatment following a two-vehicle crash in Skippack, Wednesday evening, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

According to troopers at the scene, a Collegeville woman driving a Toyota Sienna out of a driveway in the 3800 block of Mill Road, Skippack, around 5:15 p.m., was attempting to turn left when an oncoming vehicle struck hers. The impact pushed the Toyota to its side, and the woman and her female passenger were trapped in the vehicle. The striking vehicle, a Nissan driven by a Collegeville man, suffered heavy front-end damage.

It took Skippack firefighters about 15 minutes to free the trapped woman and girl, troopers said.

Skippack and Trappe EMS tended to both drivers and the passenger.

Fire police blocked Mill Road at its intersection with Collegeville Road.

DeWane's Garage reportedly towed the vehicles from the scene. An investigation will determine if citations will be issued to a driver.
