DUI, Drug Arrest Made During Perkiomen Sobriety Checkpoint
The Pennsylvania State Police stopped 175 vehicles at the checkpoint over St. Patrick's Day Weekend, made two arrests.
One DUI and one drug possession arrest was made during a sobriety checkpoint at Rt. 29 and Trappe Road in Perkiomen Township, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.
An estimated 175 vehicles came through the checkpoint on Saturday night into Sunday.
Perkiomen Township Fire Company assisted at the scene.
State Police, in conjunction with other organizations, teamed up to combat drunk drivers over St. Patrick’s Day weekend, including Pittsburgh and York County.

I passed through this checkpoint Saturday night. An impressive little setup they had for cars passing through. The cop who stopped and asked me questions was very polite and I was on my way in less than 30 seconds. Thanks Patch for posting the results of it, I was intrigued to find out how they did.
