UPDATE: Upper Providence Man Arrested for Alleged Child Rape
The man, who shared a bedroom with the 12-year-old boy, claims that the acts were consensual.
Update:
Raheem Smith-Little, of Upper Providence, has been charged with rape of a child and related offenses after allegedly assaulting a 12-year-old boy in a bedroom that the two shared, according to the Pottstown Mercury.
According to police, the child's mother attempted to enter his bedroom Jan. 13 around 2 a.m. to find that the door was locked, breaking a rule in the house that no doors are to be locked in the house.
Smith-Little, 20, allegedly opened the door and said that he didn't lock it; shortly thereafter, the boy went to his mother's room "shaking and crying," saying that he was assaulted, according to police.
The boy's mother transported him to Phoenixville hospital, where doctors indicated that there had been swelling and inflamation in the area that was allegedly assulted, police said.
When questioned by police, Smith-Little said that the 12-year-old initiated contact, and began crying when police told him about evidence found in the hospital examination.
Facing additional charges including corruption of minors, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and other related offenses, Smith-Little allegedly signed a statement admitting to some of the sex acts, but claiming that they were consensual.
Smith little was taken to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of $250,000 cash bail.

Yet again another child is victimized and robbed of their innocence. Yet again I have no faith in the justice system as the perp will likely do minimal time and be released to destroy another child. There needs to be significantly tougher laws on child molesters as there is no cure. Despite attempts at rehab there is no such thing when it comes to child molestation. The perps who do these despicable acts have said time and time again (and shown in their actions) that once released they will try again.
I hope this poor child makes a full recovery and has a supporting and loving family to get her through this as it will last a lifetime.

can't advocate this man being raped in prison like some may, but I sure hope he's put away for a long long time and away from society.

Why would this "mother" put her kid in the same room with a 20 year old. Make the 20 year old sleep on the couch. I wonder if the boy wanted him in the same room.

I just wanna say that everyone makes mistakes and im pretty sure this man would not do what he did again. Yall need to stop judging him and think about it.. this man could of been any of you. never say never because im pretty sure that he did not plan for this to happen.

He forcibly sexually assaulted a child and admitted to it.. That is not a "mistake". You don't accidentally put your male genitalia into someone else's bodily orifices. We don't need to stop and think...he should have. If you have to ask yourself "should I be doing this to a child?" and the answer isn't no, then you're a sick individual who deserves to be convicted and sent to jail.

Most molesters are repeat offenders. How can you not judge someone who clearly violated the law and the innocence of a child!? He didn't plan for this to happen??!! Are you kidding me? You are clearly as deranged as this man. You're pretty sure of this and pretty sure of that...Get a grip. I'm pretty sure you're an idiot.

It's scary to know that he went to my school. I knew him. He sat next to my friend on the bus. He was a nice, funny guy and we never suspected a thing. I walked the halls of my school remembering that he was just a normal kid that went to my school. It's so scary to know that you think you may know someone but they could end up being someone you never suspected to do this kind of thing.

Yes that is the ammo of a molester sweet, kind, manipulator , My issue is he blames the 12 yr old . "he touched me first" really the answer to that should be A NO what do you think you are doing this completely wrong . Then go to the parent and inform her. Not go along with the child. Which I believe is out and out lie to begin with. Then his concern is he will get kicked of college and cant be a police officer. How about being concerned for the young boys life that you ruined,
