Citation Issued in Two-Vehicle Crash in Perkiomen Township

One driver suffered minor injuries, according to police.

A Woxall man received a citation in connection with a two-vehicle crash in Perkiomen Township on Tuesday afternoon, according to the .

John Young, 67, was driving north on Gravel Pike/Route 29, approaching the intersection with Ott Road, the report states. A 2011 GMC Yukon, driven by James Vinter, 47, of North Wales, was stopped on Gravel Pike, preparing to make a left turn onto Ott Road. Young was unable to stop his 2011 Honda Pilot in time, and the vehicles crashed, according to the police report. Young suffered minor injuries but refused EMS treatment, police said. Vinter was uninjured. The Honda Pilot had major front-end damage and was towed from the scene by Norm’s Save Station; there was minor rear damage to the Yukon, police said. There were no passengers in either vehicle.

Young is being cited for failing to drive at a safe speed, the police report states.
